Breastfeeding Friendly Chester

We are proud supporters of Breastfeeding Friendly Chester. Breastfeeding Friendly Chester is a volunteer run scheme highlighting businesses in Chester that are particularly welcoming to breastfeeding families. They also offer support by running events and promoting the scheme to normalise breastfeeding in public.

We were lucky enough to be invited along to 2 events that BFF Chester organised last week to celebrate Breastfeeding Week.

The 'Big Feed' was a brilliant event at Storyhouse Chester on 28th June. Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and The Countess of Chester Hospital infant feeding teams invited mothers to take part in their 'big feed' at Chester's fantastic new venue Storyhouse. Blissed out Mama was there offering free shoulder massages to take away everyone's stresses and Bosom Buddies were also on hand to answer any questions anybody had.

It was a fantastic event and amazing to see so many parents coming together to celebrate Breastfeeding and public feeding. we also thought Storyhouse was a great venue and would love to see more baby and family events there in the future. Ian Puleston_Davies from Hollyoaks and Coronation Street presented the awards.

Then on the 29th June we went along to a tea party! The Hive at the Dale barracks was the venue for tea, cake and plenty of fun for all the family. There was a soft play area for toddlers, face painting, arts and crafts and a raffle with great prizes. Plus lots of other local classes ran FREE mini sessions for mums, babies and toddlers. We had so much fun and got to meet all the lovely families and children.

A Big thank you to the organisers for 2 brilliant days of fun and information. I'm sure everybody had a great time.
